The British Embassy, the Bulgarian Chevening Association (BCA), the British Bulgarian Business Association and the British Council Sofia are pleased to invite you to a business fundraising breakfast in support of the flagship Chevening Alumni initiative Shapers of Tomorrow Mentoring Programme.
The Shapers of Tomorrow Mentoring Programme aims to support the professional and personal development of Bulgarian students abroad or recent graduates returning to Bulgaria, and encourage a community of engaged and skilful youth to lead the social change and shape the civil society of tomorrow.
The programme was founded by the Bulgarian Chevening Association in 2019 and is now being referred to by the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office as a role model. So far, about 150 mentoring pairs from more than 10 countries have taken part in the programme, building an influential network of inspiring professionals.
Fundraising is critical for the sustainability of this flagship project, building a bridge back for students studying abroad. Mentors and mentees will share the benefits of participating in the mentoring programme.
Why support the programme:
- You will help Bulgarian students studying abroad build lasting relationships with professionals from Bulgaria and consider a career back home;
- You will help more people acquire skills and knowledge in mentoring, which is becoming a critical skill for work;
- You will have the chance to connect and exchange ideas with other businesses.
